Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

You'll need to pay the first month's rent and security deposit to secure your lease. Please confirm the amounts with our team in advance.

Move-in Date & Inspection

Your official move-in date will be set at the lease signing; we will also provide all initial inspection information.

Utilities

You are responsible for keeping utility accounts for your rental home current throughout the duration of your stay. Please put these accounts in your name immediately following the lease signing and be sure to keep your accounts in good standing.

Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Planning to move out of your rental home? Please refer to your lease to determine the legal move-out date. You are responsible for paying rent through this date.

We ask you to please provide written notice of your intent to vacate your rental home at least sixty days before the end of your lease.

Property Condition

Before you hand in the keys, you'll need to prepare for your departure. This includes properly cleaning your rental home and removing all of your possessions from the property.

  • Rental Cleaning: Carefully clean your rental home before you move out. Sanitize your bathroom(s) and kitchen space, wipe down all hard surfaces, and vacuum/sweep/mop all floors.
  • Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If you have any outdoor areas where you typically take care of landscaping responsibilities, please resolve these once more before vacating.
  • Repairs: If any damage occurred during your stay, please take the necessary measures to address the needed repairs. Patch screw and nail holes, repaint stained walls, and replace burnt light bulbs. For more serious repairs, please coordinate with our team.

Security Deposit

After you move out, we will schedule a final inspection. Our team will walk through the home and identify whether any new damage is present; if necessary, we will schedule repairs and deduct the associated expenses from the deposit.

The remainder will be returned to you with a detailed statement.

Remember, the deposit cannot be used to cover your final rent payment. If you fail to pay your last month's rent, you will be subject to adverse credit reporting and legal action.
